Cat Names
After selecting what type of cat / kitten to purchase, its time
for the next biggest challenge - coming up with a name.
Certain cat names lend themselves to certain breeds and the
markings on many kittens can also make your life a bit easier,
such as if the kitten is all one colour except for his/her paws.
Here you could give your new cat a name like 'socks' or 'paws'
or 'claws' or something similar.
It is important to invlove the whole family when choosing your
cats name as each of you will have to be shouting it out at some
point. There are many helpful ideas around - just broaden your
horizons. Think about a favourite celebrity, place name, song
title, drink, meal, car, piece of furniture, football teams
nickname or stadium, brand or business name. As well as that you
have always got the more run of the mill cat names such as
'tiger' or simply 'Puss'. Selecting a name for your cat is
supposed to be a fun and enjoyable exercise and it is important
not to get too carried away.
The most important thing to remember when choosing a name for
your cat is that on many occasion YOU are going to be the one
standing outside shouting it at the top of your voice. It is at
this point when such names as 'snuggle puss' or 'fairy cakes'
can seem a very odd choice indeed !
